Can I contact the Appeals Board?

Yes, of course. If the applicant has a lawyer or a legal representative, we recommend that the lawyer or representative handle communications with the committee. However, applicants are still welcome to contact us directly. Due to the committee’s confidentiality obligations, information about individual cases is generally not provided over the phone. Therefore, to access documents or other information regarding case status, it is best to visit the committee’s office. An applicant must present identification to get information about their case.

Applicants can contact us by phone at 510-0510 or by sending an email to postur@knu.is.

Information about the average case processing time is available on the website. If the inquiry concerns processing times, we suggest that the individual review this information before contacting the committee.
