What can I appeal?

According to the Foreign Nationals Act, all decisions by the Directorate of Immigration to deny foreigners international protection, residence permits, the issuance of travel documents, and visa endorsements can be appealed. The same applies to decisions by the Directorate of Immigration regarding the revocation of such permits. A decision by the Directorate of Immigration to refuse the substantive processing of an application for international protection under paragraph 1 of Article 36 of the Foreign Nationals Act is automatically appealed to the committee. Decisions by the Directorate of Immigration and the police regarding expulsions and deportations are also appealable.

Decisions on individual aspects of the implementation of decisions by the Directorate of Immigration cannot be appealed separately.

If there is a significant delay in case processing by the Directorate of Immigration, it is possible to appeal the pace of the case to the appeals committee.
